That state certificate source is the right path for certified proof that a marriage or divorce occurred, not for a full divorce decree.

Divorce Certificate vs Decree

A divorce certificate and a divorce decree are not the same record. DHW says a divorce certificate proves the divorce occurred. It does not replace the decree or the full case file. For a decree, contact the county where the divorce was granted. For an Elmore County divorce, the fallback is Elmore County District Court and the judicial records request form.

Divorce docket or case status may be searched in iCourt Smart Search, but sealed or exempt matters will not appear. Idaho SSN Marriage Rule
